Mi Yang
| Born and growing up in Beijing, China, Mi Yang attended Beijing Teachers’ College and graduated with a BA in history. She worked for Beijing College of Education writing and editing textbooks and teaching reference materials. She came to the United States for graduate studies and graduated from Bucknell University with a MA in Interdisciplinary Studies in history and English. She worked for the New York City Board of Education as a consultant in writing and editing the Chinese Reading Test in 1992-1998. Sicne September of 1992, she started her teaching career at Lower East Side Prep. She has been teaching bilingual social studies ever since. She has also worked for New York State Department of Education as a test developer of the Global History Regents exams and the Bilingual Department of New York City Board of Education as a translator. Mi Yang enjoys teaching and sharing her experiences with her students and colleagues at LESP. |
