Teresa Devore

I grew up in a small town in California where I grew accustomed to outdoor activities such as biking and hiking along with going to the beach regularly. I spent four years in upstate New York for college studying International Relations and learning the work hard- play hard mentality. After college I was a Peace Corps volunteer and taught in a small Ukrainian town for two years. I moved to New York in 2001 and after working for a law firm, decided to go to graduate school and get a teaching certificate. I have been teaching at LESP since February 2004. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, biking, running, listening to music, walking in Central Park, parties with friends, volunteering in my community, Walt Whitman poetry, reading, endless hours at Barnes and Noble, spending February break with my grandmother, seeing my students, learning languages, the beach at any time of year and racing with my uncle.
