MeiLing Tse graduated from New York University’s
School of Education with her BA in Elementary
Education and her MA in TESOL (Teaching English
to Speakers of Other Languages). She has taught
kindergarten and third graders before entering the
alternative public high school system. She has
been a Cooperating Teacher, a Fellows Mentor
with the NYC Teaching Fellows Program, a Writing
Workshop Facilitator and a Grade Advisor. She has
brought her own interests to LESP offering classes
in ballroom dancing, cooking and badminton. In
addition to teaching ESL, she teaches Leadership,
a course in Self-Empowerment and Service Learning.
She is also currently the Coordinator of Student
and Senior Activities and the Advisor to the Student
